couldn't think of a catchy subject line

So I finally got my James Morrison cd back from Kim. She'd been holding it hostage for almost a month, and you know what the ridiculous thing about it is? She hadn't even listened to it yet! I can't tell you how many cds I've lost that way, letting people borrow them and never getting them back. Its time I started keeping better track of whom I'm lending my belongings out to.

Well, I've got three days left until the big move, and I'm starting to get those nervous butterflies in my stomach again, the kind I had when I first found out about the move. Its cool, though, I'm really looking forward to this road trip of sorts. I'm hoping it'll be an interesting, yet fun, one. I can't forget to take plenty of pictures during our travels - these are moments that will never happen again, and I want to make sure I remember them exactly as they happened. In honor of that, I'm going to post here the words to one of my favorite Mayer songs.

3x5

I'm writing you to catch you up on places I've been
you held this letter
probably got excited
but there's nothing else inside it
didn't have a camera by my side this time
hopin i would see the world through both my eyes
maybe i will tell you all about it when i'm in the mood to lose my way
with words
today
skies are painted colors of a cowboy cliche
and strange
how clouds that look like
mountains in the sky
are next to mountains anyway
didn't have a camera by my side this time
hopin i would see the world through both my eyes
maybe i will tell you all about it when i'm in the mood
to lose my way
but let me say you should
have
seen
that sunrise
with your own eyes
it brought me back to life
you'll be with me next time
i go outside
no more 3x5s
guess you had to be there
guess you had to be with me
oh today i finally overcame
trying to fit the world inside a picture frame
maybe i will tell you all about it when i'm in the mood
to lose my way
but let me say
you should
have
seen
that sunrise
with your own eyes
it brought me back to life
you'll be with me next time
i go outside
no more 3x5s
just no more 3x5s
